Meet Angela
Hello and welcome! I am Angela, a busy mum of three with a huge passion for cakes. It all started with me baking birthday cakes for my eldest child who is intolerant to both lactose and soya - fifteen years ago this was not easy! As her full time carer and raising my two other children, baking became something that we all enjoy doing together. Our friends and family loved coming to our parties to see my latest creation, knowing that everyone was catered for.
I officially opened Mon Bel Amour Cake Craft in April 2017, choosing the name as it translates to ‘my beautiful love’, which I hope reflects my love of baking and creating visually stunning and deliciously tasting cakes. I specialise in creating wedding cakes that make a statement and are totally unique to the couple themselves. Creating a design with elegance but a quirky edge, often using colour and challenging gravity is where I shine. By November 2018 I had been shortlisted as a finalist at the Dorset Wedding Supplier Awards.
My children are my world and driving force behind running my own business. As a family we often bake together and my son says I am the world best cake maker!!! We focus on celebrating the smallest achievement because sometimes they are the biggest wins. You will normally find us snuggled up with a movie and we never miss an episode of Strictly. When the weather is shining here on the South Coast we go paddle boarding, enjoy days out and make memories. On the odd occasion that I do get a moment to myself I love to sing and dance!
